The Boys & Girls Club of Joliet and The Art Movement Inc. are proud to announce the completion of a collaborative art installation at the Club’s main facility at 226 E Clinton St, Joliet, IL.

The 25' x 60' mural has been 3 years in the making and is a joint effort of community youth, the City of Joliet, and local artists. Funding for the project was provided by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) grant, which supports development activities that build stronger and more vibrant communities.

Please join us at the public unveiling celebration on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Free refreshments, beer, and wine will be available while supplies last. Free parking is available at the Joliet Central High School south lots (running along Eastern ave).

Doors at 5:30, unveiling at 5:45, mingle until 7pm. Speakers TBA

The Art Movement is proud to present The Summer of Stone & Steel Sculpture Exhibit raffle and unveiling! We are excited for our 2nd annual event and are thrilled to showcase local artists Angelica Aguilar, Kelly Bartels, Erick “ROHO” Garcia, Brittanie Rousseau, and a two-person team of Alicia Diamond and Sarah Potter.

Please join us on Thursday, July 28th, 2022 at Juliet’s Tavern, 205 N. Chicago St., Joliet IL.

Doors open at 6:00pm and hors d’oeuvres and cash bar will begin at 6:30pm with the program to start promptly at 6:45pm. Admission is free. Guests will be invited to enter a raffle to win one of the five sculptures.

The Strange & Unusual Gallery will open its doors for an exclusive pre-party event to celebrate our Summer of Stone & Steel sculpture program!

This is your chance to greet our featured sculpture artists and get an exclusive look at Joliet's premier art gallery before the Summer of Stone & Steel sculpture unveiling begins.

Please join us on Thursday, July 28th, 2022 at The Strange & Unusual Gallery, 34 W. Clinton St., Joliet IL.

The Pre-Party begins at 5:00 pm with access to the gallery, a meet-and-greet with artists and Art Movement volunteers, and the opportunity to view and purchase never-before-exhibited works by Joliet artists.

By 6:30 pm, all will be encouraged to proceed to Juliet's Tavern for the main event.
